Cut once, finished forever

The case begins as a single bar of 18-carat gold and is turned for six hours before it is allowed to become anything. The dial is guillochéd on a rose engine from 1921 that has exactly one operator, and the hands are thermally blued over an open flame the old way — not because it is efficient, but because it is right. Every Méridien is regulated in five positions and its rate certificate is signed by the person who adjusted it.
