Fluid colour with a pulse

PLASMA renders a living field of metaball attractors blended in real time. Move the sliders, re-tint the field, and watch colour behave like a liquid — not a gradient.

01 / METHOD

Isosurface thresholding

Each attractor contributes a radial field. Where the summed field crosses the threshold, the surface is drawn — producing true metaball merging rather than overlapping circles.

02 / COLOUR

Depth-tinted ramps

Colour is sampled from a four-stop ramp using the normalised field strength, so denser regions read as hotter, not merely brighter.

03 / MOTION

Perlin-ish drift

Attractor paths follow a layered sine field with irrational frequency ratios, so the motion never visibly loops but stays perfectly smooth.
