01 · Surface

Pelagic Descent

Noon lies flat on Mare Quiet. A shearwater cuts the glare, wingbeats ticking like a metronome no one wound. Below the hull of light, the water is already deciding to forget the sky.

02 · Twilight

Twilight

Blue thins into a bruise. A lantern fish holds three small lamps beneath its jaw, not to see, but to be mistaken for something smaller and worth following. We decline the invitation.

03 · Midnight

Midnight

One body, many appetites: a siphonophore writes a long sentence in sparks. Lights bead its thread. Each dot is a mouth that refuses to hurry. The dark reads every word.

04 · Abyss

Abyss

Color has resigned its post. A pale amphipod rows the silt on legs like faint commas, spending almost no pigment at all. It does not glow. It persists, which in this dark is its own brilliance.

05 · Trench floor

Trench floor
