Time,considered.

One watch, made slowly. Forty-one millimetres of restraint, a hand-finished caliber, and a dial that refuses to shout. It will outlast your enthusiasm for it, and then your indifference.

Chapter I

Slow is a specification.

A movement is finished for the person who will never see it, which is precisely why it is finished at all.

Each caliber passes through one watchmaker's bench from first bridge to final regulation — eleven weeks, no handoffs, no hurry. The bridges are chamfered by hand until the light travels them like a corridor.

We make two hundred and forty watches a year. We could make more. The queue is part of the object, the way waiting is part of music.

Chapter II
